Mason's thoughts, "Don't spill that OJ on me! ;)" - We celebrated my return/Friday with a little OJ cheers!
We turned our bodies into "Tens" and "Ones" to practice our regrouping. We learned how to make a "Hudson" aka a new group of ten.

I wanted to share that the chaperones have been drawn and notified as to whom will join us for our ISU Gamma Phi Circus Morning Show on Friday, April 17th. Thank you so much to all of those who offered to join us. Unfortunately, each class is only able to have 4 parents join them.
Math Our mathematicians are rocking and rolling with different strategies to add two 2-digit numbers. Ask your Sailor which strategy they like best so far! We have made so much progress with our REGROUPING. I am so impressed with their perseverance.
Reading Weekly Spelling Patterns: ai, ay, ea, ei, ey nail, train, main, hay, stay, break, steak, weigh, sleigh, prey
This week's big question: How do the earth's forces affect us?
We're also working hard at practicing Arthur's Thanksgiving and reading Magic Tree House's Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Thank you so much for reading with your child each night. It's so important they have that time to read with you by taking turns reading, hearing you read aloud, or simply reading to you. Please feel free to read whatever books your Sailor is interested in and loving most. Library books or baggy books are great choices, too! But most of all make sure they're enjoying what you're reading together. :) Scholastic class code is: VJK36
Writing We're beginning to write like Scientists this week. Last week we wrote Thank You notes to Veterans and finished our habitat writing. I love how much the Sailors enjoy writing!
